Equinet Media third party servers allow you to hold unlimited data fields provided you have the email address. The servers are totally secure to UK Data Protection Standards and are only accessible by fully referenced staff with the correct access rights.
Equinet Media is a data processor; the data stored within your Equinet Media account is wholly owned by you. Equinet Media is registered under the Data Protection Act, registration number: Z1710648.
The main privately-owned data centre is supported by carrier-neutral facilities provided by Telecity Redbus (Docklands) and IXEurope (City of London). This gives us the benefit of redundancy between sites. The transit connections are provided by AboveNet and Level 3, at speeds of up to 1Gbps.
The power supply at each data centre is backed up by dedicated generators, which are switched in automatically in the event of a cut in the public mains supply. Temperature is monitored and maintained at a constant 23 degrees Celsius (+/- 2 degrees), with air humidity kept at 45% (+/- 10%).
On the human level, all data centres maintain strict access control with visitors requiring an escort at all times. Automatic security systems operate 24/7 to complement this.
All client data is stored on mirrored SQL servers in order to provide full resiliency. We deploy standard web based security measures to protect data inclusive of firewalls as well as the required encryption.
All data is backed up fully on a daily basis as well as incremental data back-ups every three hours. We realise how important your data is and therefore our commitment to ensuring the most up-to-date data is consistently recorded.
Each email address is recorded with the Equinet Media account user ID. This ensures that mailing lists remain the property of the account holder only. Usernames and passwords run through SSL.
Equinet Media is registered with the Data Protection Act (DPA) in order to store client data on the client’s behalf only and we are therefore unable to use or provide this data to any third party.
Equinet Media provides by default for dynamic synchronisation between on and off line databases with CSV upload and export. In addition an API has been programmed in order to automate this process. Our third party suppliers are highly qualified and have a wealth of experience in data transfer between various different systems moving millions of records each day for major banking corporations and eCommerce sites.
